Why did Sony sign "racist" rapper Kreayshawn?
Gucci Gucci, Louis Louis, Fendi Fendi, PradaThat beat was hot. The hook was hot, but what isn't hot is the use of the n-word by Kreayshawn's and her fellow White Mob member, V nasty.
Both rappers have caught a lot of heat for their flippant use of the word and are considered racist by members of the Hip Hop community.
However, I think the most important question to ask is why was Kreayshawn given a one million dollar contract with Sony, even though they know she has said the word and is associated with V-nasty?
Would they have signed her if she made anti-semetic or homophobic slurs? Why is it ok to disregard the feelings of one community but not the other, Sony?
